Looking for investment? Viking is dramatically increasing the amount of private investment going into early-stage technology companies in Yorkshire. It is demonstrating that small-scale funds can both be a source of 'patient capital' and generate commercial returns for investors.
Typical first-stage investments from the Viking Fund will be between £10,000 and £100,000 and will take the form of equity (and possibly some loan finance). Further investment is available for second-stage funding.
Our investment criteria
The Fund is open to applications from almost all industrial sectors. Businesses must be commercially viable and seeking capital to expand. We are unable to invest to rescue failing businesses.
The Fund can be involved in funding rounds from £20,000 to £250,000. We can also make a follow-on investment (up to an aggregate of £200,000 per company) providing it is matched on equal terms.
Our charges
As Viking only makes a profit when its investments succeed, the Fund has low overheads to maximize your business growth. Viking charges just 1% of money raised (with a minimum charge of £1,000) towards the cost of all legal documentation, plus a small monthly monitoring fee of £300. We always reserve the right to appoint a non-executive director. To apply for investment, please contact us.
